This is just a simple page to show some things I did to my 1966 Mustang.

I bought the car from a friend in college.  It was completely original down to the valve cover breather.  It only had 55,925 miles on it.  The car has always been in his family since May 15, 1965.  His father bought it for him from, I believe his aunt, when he turned 16.  He said he never liked it and wanted something else, like an SUV.  I jumped at the chance to buy in August of 2001.  This was my main mode of transportation throughout college.  Once I graduated and finally landed a job I bought a brand new Dodge Quab Cab Hemi and let the mustang rest.

One weekend February 8th and 9th, 2004 I got bored and desided to dismantle the car for the heck of it.  Well, that started the project and as you can see by the pictures below, within the first weekend I got to the point where I couldn't turn back.
Feb. 9th - After reading up on some important things to look for while "restoring" and old Ford, I found that finding parts with "FoMoCo" on them was a good thing.  That is another reason I knew he wasn't kidding when he said that he hadn't done anything to it.
June 2004 - After the wife and I purchased our first home, brand new, kinda proud of that, I started back on the project.  As you can see, I stripped the undercoating (like dried tar from the 60's) from the engine compartment.  This took about a month of total frustratation to complete before I was satisfied.

I was waiting on Marion, my machinist, to get finished with my motor.  He had it since March, but I told him I was in no hurry for it b/c of the house and to take his time.  He is one heck of a guy and machinist.  He let me hang out around his shop and BS with him while he worked on other customers' stuff and my own.  He put the bottom end of the motor together for me and assembled my heads at no charge.
July 2004 - Finally got my motor and heads back.  I had the valves taken out to 1.94"/1.60" and performed a mild port and polish job.  They've gotta flow better than they used to.

Like every other fun, cool, exciting project known to man the only thing holding me up... of course, time and money.  Not to mention our wedding coming up the following month.
