Where Have They Gone?








Welcome to the Trruckermen homepage.
We are looking for pictures of the *Forgotton* transport companies.
The ones that were around,but now no longer are here.The ones that
carved out a history on our kiwi roads,not only for the companies
but the drivers who worked long hours to make a buck for themselves.
There were alot of companies that started out but are now no longer around
some were well known and are still remembered as part of our transport history.
Others were small operations who worked just as hard as the bigger companies.
A driver of a truck always takes photos,they can,t resist.And this is where the
history of our transport industry lies.The drivers who worked for these companies
and their cameras,who worked long hours but had time too stop for a couple of
minutes to take a quick snap of *Their* truck in all sorts of conditions and weather

And so the list goes on.There are many more not even mentioned.
And some that have survived and are still around today,still doing
what they have managed to do since they were first started many years ago
and that is survive in the transport industry,which is tough in New Zealand
for the more hardened operators,but they have been there and survived
where a lot of other companies have either been gobbled up by bigger transport
companies of others who just didn,t survive.so have a browse around these
pages and maybe you will remember some of the companies on here.
maybe you know someone who has pictures of the *Old companies*
stored in an old photo album or in an old shoe box or something.
