Children's Ministries at Trinity
Welcome
Children are valued and appreciated at Trinity Mennonite
Church! Children's ministries at Trinity are for children from
birth through grade five. From the time a child is born,
age-appropriate programs and services are available to help
that child grow and develop into someone who loves God. In
addition to the programs listed here, children are also
encouraged to participate in worship services by playing an
instrument, singing a special song, or hearing a story at
"Red Carpet Time". It is our hope that both you and your
child will find Trinity Mennonite Church to be a place to
learn and grow.
Nursery
Nursery care is provided during Sunday School and worship
services for infants and toddlers under three years of age.
Your child's needs will be cared for by loving volunteers!
Children's Church
Children's Church meets the second and fourth Sundays
(except holidays) from September through May. Children's
Church is for children ages three through grade two.
Children and their leaders are dismissed from the adult
worship service prior to the sermon. In their own setting,
children worship God by singing, praying, and listening to
Bible stories. Children are dismissed when the adult service
concludes.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are provided for all ages. Children's
classes use the Jubilee Sunday School curriculum for ages
three through grade five. Sunday School meets every
Sunday from 9:15 to 10:05 AM. Children are taught lessons
from both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible through
a variety of activities.
Children's Musical
Once a year, usually for the spring quarter, children in
kindergarten through grade five participate in a Biblically
based children's musical. Rehearsals are held during the
Sunday School hour. Children develop leadership and
musical abilities while learning more about the selected
Bible story. One or two programs are presented for
everyone to enjoy.
Adventure Club
Adventure Club meets the first three Wednesdays of every
month from September through May. Club is for children in
grades two through five. In September, October, March,
April, and May, children meet at 6:00 PM for a time of fun
on the playground adjacent to the church's west parking
lot. Club begins with singing at 6:45 PM, followed by a skit
with a lesson for life based on a Bible story. Boys and girls
are then divided for a time of making crafts. Children are
dismissed at 8:00 PM.
Bible School
Bible School is held in the evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 PM for
one week in June or July. Bible School is for children ages
three through grade five. Activities include singing,
worship, Bible stories, crafts, recreation, and snacks.
Children's Library
The Trinity library offers a wide variety of books and videos
for children to check out. Children are encouraged to learn
more about the Bible and skills for life through reading
books.
Camp
Children who have completed grades three through five are
invited to attend AZ. Mennonite Children's Camp held at the
Tonto Rim Camp in Payson, AZ. Children attend camp on
Thursday through Sunday - usually the second weekend in
June. Volunteers from Arizona Mennonite Churches fill
