I have the sad duty to report to my visitors that a member of the Canadian Army Reserve, Contributing Founding-Member & Author with "Star Trek: New Worlds", Mr. John Humble ("Smeos" of TrekBBS.Com Forums,) is no longer with us. HUMBLE John Arlo Kimmett (February 4, 2009) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Arlo Humble. His brilliant wit and outrageous sense of humor will be forever missed. John was born January 10, 1985 in Prince Rupert, BC. His family moved to Terrace where he attended the public school system (Thornhill elementary and Caledonia Senior Secondary (2003)) and was involved in Terrace minor hockey. John spent a few years in the lower mainland and attended Kwantlen College majoring in history and was involved in the Canadian Army Reserves. He recently moved back to Terrace. John had a passion and a talent for writing. He had a vivid imagination and was infatuated with history and the military from a young age; these interests never wavered and were evident in his writings. He valued his relationships with friends, family and being an uncle to his 2 nephews Keiran and Owen. He will be missed forever by his good friends, large extended family including Aunts, Uncles, cousins and Grandma, his sister Vanessa, brother-in-law Tyler Wald, nephews Keiran and Owen, his father Gordon Humble (Brenda) and his mother Veronica Kimmett (Andrew Young). A memorial service for John Arlo Humble will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2 pm at the Elk's Hall in Terrace. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, or a charity of your choice. [Star Trek: The Nomad Frontier]
Site Update: April 1 2009 In the coming month or so, there will be a new collaborative Trek fan fiction site published online, thanks to Mr. Robert Scorpio. Mr. Scorpio has been a contributing author with TrekBBS & Ad Astra. I haven't decided on a definitive name for the site yet, but it'll be an anthology much like Star Trek: New Worlds, featuring a lot of "sideways-relaunched" Classic Trek & Eugenics Wars-era / pre-Federation stories with original characters and mature situations.

["Starfleet Corps of Engineers" "Fraternity" Author: Jason K.S. Hauck Synopsis: A Day In The Life of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers.
Visitors To Date:
Welcome to "New Worlds", I'm Jason Kim Scott Hauck. I thought I'd begin this little summer boredom project after I noticed the rules (included in both "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" itself, and, the contest looking for new starship design submissions for the "Star Trek: Titan" paperback/hardcover jacket-covers,) specifically prohibiting non-American citizens from submitting materiel for genuine consideration. I decided that my own anthology would be open to everyone with a good idea, from every last single country in the world. And then, Paramount-Viacom and Pocket Books decided to abandon the idea of the "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" print anthology, until further notice. I'm a member of both SciFi-Meshes' Forums & TrekBBS Forums. My screen-name is "Hellsgate". Whenever I visit these sites, I see plenty of ideas from lurkers and beginners that just don't get off the ground from a combination of two things.
1. A lack of a place to suitably display the author's material except in complicated archive sites & membership-based Yahoo or MSN Groups. 2. A lack of personal confidence. So, I've decided to build this website with some Incomplete Work In Progress (both collaboration & non-collaboration based) stories I've been working on, over the span of my fan fiction "career" (LOL). These WIP's are just temporary placeholders until I complete my own stories & add others' contributions. I've done different things with the document layouts so please don't expect the exact same thing with all of them.

Yes, as long as there's appropriate common-sense "reader discretion" content warnings.
