| - November 20,2005. Been a while. Wow, I haven't updated this site since July!!! Anyway.. School keeps me busy.. and not much new has been going on. I almost got hired for composing for a horror movie that would have paid $5000 but I didn't make the final cut, It was cool to be one of the chosen before their final desicion. I walk dogs for a job, its pretty good and the pay is too. Its nice to have money. Ive been playing lots of pc games and absolutely loved Quake 4. If you haven't played it! GET IT!!! for PC or for the xbox 360. PC is always better though because of Mods. I am on two new mod teams actually, one called D.E.A.D which is a Halflife 2 mod which I am doing music and soundfx for. It's cool look it up I am too lazy to put a link. I am also working on concept art and soundfx for UAC: Warfare which is a Quake 4 mod. I am also thinking about getting my own team together to make a Quake 4 mod. I have actually done a few concepts for it and started working on the website. Who knows if it will come to be but it would be a great mod and an awesome accomplishment. I am going to try my hardest to get it going. I am thinking I may pay up and get this site some proper hosting for files and everything else. I am kinda tired of having to fix my file server and having too many people visit this site so you can't access it, it's really annoying. $10 bucks a month isn't so bad? Paying a bill? can i do that? I could make this site much better looking and ad free that way. I don't know the tortured-studios.com name is registered at no-ip which is a great service. But, I kinda like geocities hosting. I'll have to wait a year for when the tortured-studios.com dies out at no-ip.com so I don't lose money? --------------OLD NEWS---------------------------- - July 14, 2005. Nothing too exciting.. Music of mine is in the trailer for the game Nexuiz, as well as the same track in game. So thats kinda cool. Well I have been working on mostly soundfx stuff lately for D.E.A.D they have done their site over and soon there will be an ambient loop on their site that I did for them. So, check that out... Everyone loves zombies right? So check out some of the media there if you want. Nosferatu music and or any other work for them hasn't been going so well lately.. I try over and over to do guitar stuff but I really do need a drummer.. still for that.. even with my new drummachine.. Its just too messy and complicated for me to do guitar stuff with drums.. Perhaps I just suck at making that kinda music. Someday I will buy an electronic drum-set and teach myself the drums and/or just call Pete to help if he doesn't live 1000000 miles away some day. Taking a photoshop class and I am half way throught the semester.. I have already been using photoshop for at least 6 years so the class has been a breeze. I was kinda hoping it would be more advanced than it is. But oh well easy A. July 15-17 I am visiting Pete and Laura who live together in Burlington Vermont. Should be nice to get out of Andover for the weekend. Long drive ahead of me though, but I don't really mind driving is nice especially since I got my new toyota matrix and I have absolutely no life or friends here in Andover. After I graduate from college I'll probably move out quickly.. and or go to full sail or something for more school.. I have such good studio space now though.. It may suck moving some where... Anyway I am single so I have no one to share rent with... Hopefully that will change eventually and the girl wont be a sociopathic/ borderline personality disorder jerk head this time around. A nice healthy relationship would be good. REALLY GOOD. -June 02, 2005. Site Make-over: Site being done over expect construction over the next couple days... or a website mixed with a new look with the old look haha. Besides that I am keeping the news from May 31st, its not exactly time to put that into the old news catagory. May 31, 2005 Thinking of changing the websites look get ready for an extreme makeover Currently I am looking for a film to compose music for. I have sent out some emails to people looking for a composer but haven't heard anything back. I am also now apart of another game team. The game is called D.E.A.D which is a half-life 2 engine driven zombie game. I am glad to be part of the team as a musician / soundfx. There is also two other musicians on the team so, I am not totally tied down with a lot of work so I can continue my movie composing search. I am basically creating music background tracks for the games levels and doing soundfx. Still as it has been for a couple years now, working with Dead Rabbit Software, creating Nosferatu a multiplayer game with slayers vs. vampires. I finished the darker, mellower type tracks and I am working on the action tracks for the music system they are using which changes the music of the game when the game action changes. I still love this project and the music I have done for it. A while ago I sent out a demo to City Of The Dead a game based off of George Romero's zombie movies which he is a part of and the master of gore, Tom Savini. I haven't heard anything back to whether or not they would want me as a musician.. I know the game is now in production, so I figure I didn't get the job, but it would be nice if they would send me an email to tell me that... thats the way it goes though with companies... from what I have seen of the game so far it looks like it will be great.. too bad I won't be playing it to my own music. Seems like everything in my last news post has completely fallen apart.. no more working on the mod facing hell for doom 3.. I have lost contact with the team and the site hasn't changed since the beginning of 2005.. so I don't know if the project is dead or what. But, I am no longer a part of it anymore whether it is still a WIP or not.. because of the failure for the team to communicate anything to me. and another mod I was part of is definately dead.. no responses to emails for the past 100000 months haha.. so there goes that.. and the work and time I spent working on it. God, its really annoying how things just die off...... and no one bothers to tell you. As far as the Pirates game goes.. thats on hold for a while.. I don't know when Pete and I will work on it again.. But I did see him a few times this month after not seeing him for a year, so that was cool. But, we didn't talk about Pirates at all.. more of just him and I and his girlfriend hanging out having a great old time. Which was really awesome.. because I don't have any friends around here and it was nice to see some old friends for once.... or just friends at all |
