HELP PREVENT A TRADGEDY

Please let me introduce myself; My name is Tony deMontigny, a 45 yr old Canadian male; University Educated, Christian Family Man  currently in a "Brazilian Witness Protection Program" for bearing information to a home invasion. On 09/12/02 my Brazilian girlfriend and I were victims to a home invasion just outside the center of Rio de Janeiro. This incredible ordeal was followed by a robbery that completely emptied the contents of our home. Several days later it was discovered that local members of the CIVIL POLICE DEPARTMENT were responsible for the invasion and robbery, subsequently 8 members of this POLICE FORCE are currently under arrest, and going through the court process. For the purpose of "security" I spent 42 days in absolute sequestered darkness until my legal team of 4 was able to negotiate my "release" into a government approved area of Brazil. To date I have spent or lost over $200,000.00 (including my export business and all goodwill associated with it), and must continue to spend as directed by the Federal Government as I must bear 100% of the costs associated with being "free". The only alternative to this situation is to re enter the Witness Protection Program (which remains the Government's preferred method of handling the situation). I am desperatly seeking financial donations to keep my freedom alive, and not disappear as so often happens to people in this unlwaful Third World Country where human rights violations are so common. Any amount is so appreciated and immediately goes towards a cause that continues to unfold on a daily basis. My funds are completely exhausted, as are those of my friends and relatives who have been very generous and pro active in overseeing my freedom. The Consular's Office for Brazil is powerless to interfere, and as the Brazilian Government has offered its "Protection Program"; will not, and cannot interfere.
