This year is Prof. Black's first year at Hogwarts. He's also not dead. As Head of Gryffindor, he's manager of their quidditch team. He's also very close to Prof. Harry Potter, who is his godchild.

A Wolpertinger, Voldemort is a flying rabbit with fangs and little antlers, a familiar to Severus Snape. He's so cute!
Prof. David Cooper
This professor's personality is unknown. He teaches Astronomy in the tallest tower of the castle. Many students are convinced he isn't sane.
Prof. Monica Ganas
The Divination teacher spends half the time trying to help students open their minds and bodies to their natural center. There's lots of yoga involved. It's not a pretty sight.
Prof. Matthew Gilmore
The Charms teacher spends a lot of time to himself, but has a very cheerful personality. He's head of Ravenclaw house.
Prof. Hermione Granger-Weasley
She's the teacher of (count them) FOUR classes at Hogwarts. No one is quite sure whether or not this teacher sleeps. Whenever she's not talking with the faculty or teaching students, her nose is in a book.
Prof. Rubeus Hagrid
Gray-haired Hagrid is one of the oldest members of faculty. He's been teaching Care of Magical Creatures for a very long time, but no one is quite sure why. Most students fear his dangerous class more than any OWL exam.
Buddy the House Elf
An attendant for the Weasley household who does part-time work at Gringotts for Bill Weasley, Buddy is spending time at Hogsmeade to prepare for a Pro-House Elf Rights rally.
Prof. Neville Longbottom
Head of Hufflepuff house, this professor teaches Herbology (which happens to be Larry's least favorite class).
Mr. Ryan Luchessi
Ryan likes weapons and violence. He's also caretaker of the school grounds. In other words, the most unstable man on the premises is in charge of maintaining order and safety.
Thomas Malfoy
Thomas's father is Minister of Magic. He doesn't let anyone forget that. He also loves glory and adventure. Most people just think he's loud and annoying though. The truth hurts.
Mr. Portley
A shopkeeper in Diagon Alley. He's kind of reminiscent of a salty sea captain.
Prof. Harry Potter
Harry Potter is famous. He's published six very popular books and is working on a seventh that details the dramatic events of his childhood that take place during the war against Voldemort. He's also the Flying coach and teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Surprisingly, he's kind of reclusive outside of class.
Emma Rachelle
Emma Rachelle is the star chaser for the Hufflepuff quidditch team. She's a little power-hungry and acts like captain even though she's not.
Kimberly Robin
Kimberly has a knack for wizardry, but she hates studying. She'd much rather practice real magic all day. She tends to have crushes on boys that play quidditch.
Sean Robinson
Sean is a Knight Bus driver. Not many people know, but there's only one Knight Bus, but a couple of drivers. Sean has been parolled a couple of times.
Steven "Eggs" Stokes
Eggs is tall. He also loves being a wizard and likes videogames. He's very friendly and makes odd comments at odd times. No relation to Luna Lovegood.
Larry Sandez
Larry isn't that big on being a wizard. He likes Hogwarts, but his real passion his theater. Also, he hates Herbology.
Prof. Severus Snape
Headmaster of Hogwarts, Snape doesn't seem to like his job very much. One wonders why he's headmaster at all. He also has an obsession with his toothbrush collection.
Prof. Kevin Shore
He's a lot younger than he looks, really. He teaches Potions, heads Slytherin house, and always seems to be busy. He wears a signature feathered cap when he travels.
Prof. Andrew Warner
One of Hogwarts' most popular teachers, he teaches History of Magic. Warner has an odd collection of muggle and wizard pop culture.
Bill Weasley
One of many Weasley's, Bill is Carol and Jenn's father. He works at Gringotts bank too.
Carol Weasley
The youngest Weasley, Carol is spritely and very know-it-all-ish. She's really just like any other Weasley. Her favorite relatives are her uncles who own a joke shop in Hogsmeade.
Fleur Weasley
Carol and Jenn's mother. She's 1/4 Veela and has long blonde hair. Yeah, that's about all there is to say... Oh, she's hot.
Kimberly Weasley
Kimberly is actually quite social, but tends to come off shy when there are a lot of things on her mind. She loves Hogwarts, but is already eager to be in the real world. Like her sister Stephanie, she has a passion for photography.
Jennifer Weasley
Jenn is a little bit of a black sheep. She hates her red hair and tends to keep it short. She loves to pick on her younger sister.
Ronald Weasley
Husband to Prof. Granger-Weasley, Ron's a bit of a bumbler. Working for the Ministry of Magic, Ron works side-by-side with his father and is Prof. Potter's best friend.
Stephanie Weasley
Prone to incredible friendliness. She and her sister Kimberly are the adopted daughters of the Weasleys. Stephanie never wants to leave Hogwarts and dreams of working there.
Kyle Webb
A Hufflepuff prefect, he is inclined to shout in great spurts of spontaneity. He also is deathly afraid of Bludgers.
