(...) The army has to deploy a whole elite regiment against a single Gaza Strip neighborhood without even entering. You can only imagine how much force would be needed to implement the cabinet's decision to cut the Gaza Strip in two, or to take over the entire northern Gaza Strip, in order to stop the shooting of Qassams. Gaza is a bottomless hole, swallowing military forces. (...) The Palestinians are fighting seriously. The armed militants throw themselves at the tanks and the armoured personnel carriers, undeterred by their losses.
