Welcome to my home page!
Here you will learn my deepest, darkest secrets about corporate training, human resources, stand-up comedy, and surviving Catholic school.
My childhood was a cross between “All in the Family” and “Lord of the Dance.” I grew up in an Irish-Catholic household and attended 12 years of Catholic school. As if that wasn't enough fun, I then went on to attend a private girls Catholic college. My suffering was never wasted, as I "offered it up for the poor souls in Purgatory."
As my full name implies, I was destined to be a nun. Because I never heeded "the calling," I am now forced to do the second best thing -- stand-up comedy.
My crazy Irish-Catholic upbringing and 18 years of corporate life feed my comedy material. I have performed at local comedy venues in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, as well as on the Celebrity Cruise ship Galaxy. While I have no aspirations to quit my day job, I continue to work at my new hobby since it “keeps me on my toes” and reminds me to see the humor in everyday situations.
By day, I am president of High Five Performance, Inc., an organization providing customized training development/delivery, motivational speaking, and career coaching for companies and individuals throughout the United States. I have over 20 years experience in corporate training and public speaking – and currently serve as President of Blue Bell Toastmasters and immediate past-president of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. The crux of my work is in getting people to recognize and build on their strengths in order to reach their full potential.
I currently reside in a Philadelphia suburb with my husband, Rik. Preferring pets to children, we have two cats: Chelsea and Seamus, who provide us with constant entertainment and affection.
My day job: High Five Performance, Inc.
