Seven Layers Of The Atmosphere
There are two meaning of saba'a (seven in arabic)
1) It is used for the number "seven". (Mufridaat-ul-Quran).
2) It is also used in the meaning of "several" or "many" (lughat-ul-Quran).
When Allah says that there are seven heavens then it means that there are several atmospheric layers. Today science says that there are several layers of the atmosphere.
Scientific Research
Earth's atmosphere is composed of several layers having distinct chemical and electrical properties. (1)
The atmosphere consist of several layers. (2)
The atmosphere of the Earth may be divided into several distinct layers. (3)
