The site is both for information and events for our SDF members, but also for anyone else who wishes to know more about the FOREMOST realistic self-defence organisation in the UK. | NOTE: Any club head/instructor, Rep etc who is planning any sort of event and wants me to post it on here, I will be more than happy to oblige .. however it helps me no-end (and yourselves) if you actually send me the details, AND in plenty of time as well... its amazing how the odd instructor will email me on for example a wednesday when the event is on the following weekend.... |

This page tells you about the 'birth' of the SDF in June 2000, what we offer as a Federation, our Aims & Objectives, and all the benefits of being a member of the UK's foremost such organisation. Page 2: PROFILE OF DAVE TURTON Dave Turton is currently 8th Dan in several styles, and is both the Founder & Head of the S.D.F., This page gives you some information on this man. Page 3:NEWS & EVENTS This page is separated into TWO sections, so please read all of it. Section One will be any NEWS items that are of interest to, or about SDF Members. These News Items will stay on the site for ONE Calendar Month, then they will be removed unless they are of specific permanent interest. Section Two is a list of all known events, Seminars, Courses etc that are relevant to the SDF. These will stay on the forum until they have passed, however for seminars etc, a report will be included in their place AFTER the event. They have been designed so that ANYONE who meets the not-too-stringent criteria can apply to becomae a regsitered Self-defence Instructor with the SDF. Candidates do NOT need to be of Black Belt status to apply .. check out thes epages if you have designs of becoming a registered self-defence/self-protection instructor Page 6: OFFICIAL S.D.F. DIPLOMA INSTRUCTORS Here we list those people who have qualified in ONE or MORE of the Officlal SDF Instructors Diplomas, their Levels and what they are authorised to teach .. Why not get on the list yourself by becoming a registered Official SDF Instructor? Page 7: SDF INSTRUCTORS & REPS This page list all our Regional, Area & District Reps and Instructors and their contact details. Just check, there may be one near YOU! Page 8: TRAINING IN SDF SELF-DEFENCE The SDF has its OWN system known as The SDF's Self-Defence System Grades and qualifications are available in this art, as are several methods of actually training in this unique and highly effective self-defence system, this page gives you the details Page 9: SDF BLACK BELTS This page lists the Black Belts in the SDF, and as we are a Multi-Styles organisation, each listed Instructor has both their qualifications and their region or area they are in. NOTE: Not all Black Belt members of the SDF are SDF Self-Defence System Black Belts, many have Black Belts (Or equivalent in many other systems and styles) Page 10: TRAINING IN SDF SELF-DEFENCE This page explains the various methods of training in, progressing in, and grading in the S.D.F's OWN system: The SDF SELF-DEFENCE SYSTEM. Page 11: SDF PRODUCTS Here we list the various items we have for sale in the SDF. These include, DVD's, Books, Clothing Items, Badges etc Page 12: YOUR GUARDIANS LTD. Your Guardians Ltd is a separate Company set up by and run by 2 Senior SDF Black Belts, but runs in conjunction with the SDF, and has Dave Turton 8th Dan SDF Head as its Senior Consultant. BACK FULL TIME FROM MONDAY 15TH JUNE NOTE THOUGH .. I NEED A BREAK SO MY BETTER HALF (CAROL), MY GRANDAUGHTER AND MYSELF ARE HAVING A WEEK'S BREAK IN NEWQUAY (CORNWALL) FROM SATURDAY 27TH JUNE.. | The latest issue of the SDF newsletter "STREET TALK" is now out, I have sent it to most on the email list and next week will post out those on the 'snail mail' list .. if any of you doesnt recieve your member's copy, let me know and I will sort it out. |

| T-SHIRTS ETC.. That new company I am dealing with have come up with the goods, and the new T-shirts etc are in stock. They have done an excellent job and I am well pleased with the products. watch out for a new list of what we can get printed in SDF logo etc.. Jackets, Hoodies as well as shirts.. will send out the fliers when I get back off holiday |
| Saturday 13th June .. venue Ipswich Town Football Club's Gym Colin (Crazy Horse) Hollobone and MIke Footer had kindly invited me down to their club to teach on a seminar .... there was around 2 dozen people training, and a very good standard of attendees getting stuck in. I taught stand-up aggressive combat in the morning, and some knife defences in the afternoon Nice to see some of Simon Belson's guys there.. Simon always sets a good standard... so thanks everyone .. I really enjoyed the day. |
