New Site Under Construction

A new TBN site is currently under construction, which can be updated without requiring one webmaster to do all the updating. Keep in mind, webmasters for a group like this are volunteers, who may have other priorities from time to time. So by allowing multiple people to add and update content, a more consistently reliable website is possible. It's not officially done yet, but it now has an address. Two, in fact.

Use whichever URL you like better. Please update your bookmarks. This site on GeoCities won't be around for much longer, but the new website will. And if I have anything to do with it, this will be our last change of address.

Please take a few minutes to read it over and then please send Jim your comments, questions, etc. so that we get maximum input from our members and friends. Two things of particular note:

1. We have the opportunity to attend (in the nude!) a dress rehearsal of a theatrical performance in Columbus. Although the play is not intended for the players to be nude, the theater has indicated that many or all of the performers would be nude for this exclusive performance. And they have offered us an extremely attractive price. Watch for details in a separate email and mark your calendars NOW for January 21, 2009!
2. The group decided on a modest increase in fees for swims. But it is possible to avoid this increase and continue to pay the lower $5.00 / $10.00 rate if you purchase a membership and pay for the swims for a year in advance. This would amount to $55.00 and then "free" swims for a year! Otherwise, fees for non-members will increase to $15.00 per swim beginning January 1, 2009. Please send your comments or questions to me about this change.

Bylaws

Bylaws have been approved for The Buckeye Naturists. The approved version is not available to view online yet, because the President has not sent that version to the Webmaster, but are very similar to the version as proposed 1 Aug 2006.

Webmaster

Hi, I'm the webmaster, David Smith. As a volunteer, I couldn't always keep this site up-to-date. But on the new site, that shouldn't be as much of a problem. A few other people will have the ability to update the information on the site, while I serve a primarily technical role to add features and functionality.

Remember Your Bare Necessities!

There are a few things to remember to bring to nude events:

• a towel for sitting on
• another towel for drying off
• sunblock (except winter swims and other indoor events)
• money for admission and other things
• socks (for bowling events)
• food (for day or overnight resort visits)
• more towels (for extended camping events)
• tent or other shelter (overnight camping)
• neck safe or other secure storage (extended camping)
• Did I forget anything?
