These are frogs I designed for a mobile swap on Craftster.org. They are supposed to look realistic. As you can see, I made several different body sizes and feet. The pattern for every kind should be here. The wings are from the pig pattern. Hope ya'll enjoy them! The waterlily behind them is the Waterlily Filet Centerpiece in the flowers section of crochetpatterncentral.com. You will need: D hook Green worsted weight yarn Stuffing Beads for eyes (although I haven't put them on yet.) Frog body, worked in the round: Ch2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch1, 2 sc in each sc. Ch1, *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc*. For the small frog, stop here for a minute while I give directions for the big frog. Big frog: add another row of *1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc*. Okay. Now for both frogs, continue on in even sc for 4 rows for the small frog, 6 for the big one. Now fold him in half. Do one decrease at each edge, on every round, otherwise working in even sc, until the hle is small enough to stuff him-do that, and then continue until the hole is shut. Legs: For the small frog: Ch4, sl st in 3rd ch from hok. Ch 3, sl st in same st. Ch 3, sl st in same st. Ch 1, sc in sl st. *Ch1, turn, sc in sc* 4x. End off. Big frog: Ch 5, sl st in 4 chs. * Ch 4, sl st in 3 chs* 2 x. Sl st. in beginning ch. Ch 2, hdc in sl st. ch 1, turn, sc in hdc, *ch 1, turn, sc in sc* 5x. Ch 3, 6 dc in sc. End off. Sitting back feet for big frog: Ch 5, sl st in 4 chs. *ch 4, sl st in 3 chs* 2x. Sl st in beginning ch. Ch 2, 4 hdc in sl st. End off. |
