Home Welcome to The Golden Dragons website. The dragonboat team known as The Golden Dragons started in the summer of 2000 and ran for six consecutive seasons.  After the final 2005 season, many members of The Golden Dragons became two new dragonboat crews known as Shearwaters DBC and Onami DBC starting their first seasons in 2006. The Golden Dragons were a team comprised of old class mates, and friends of friends in the Greater Toronto Area.  Early on, The Golden Dragons were sponsored by the Weiteh Mandarin School, and the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission (OCAC) so we thank and honor them by carrying the Weiteh name written in Chinese on our uniforms through the years. This website will serve to remember the dragonboat team known as The Golden Dragons and all the members who have once donned the royal blue & gold jerseys.
