The faithful hum of the lyrical brook, the sudden cascading water-fall
The mynah, the cuckoo, the myrtle�s music, the strains of an
iridescent stream.............
Such are the
amazing ways of the Monsoons,
 under
whose spell, the Hills vibrate with abundance of life. It is to these
Hills, that lesser mortals like us get drawn in droves; year after
year. As the monsoons cast their spell on the parched earth, its time
for the weekend vagabonds to flutter their wings, pack their sacks &
hit the trail.

MATHERAN
An easy paced
trek via One Tree Hill to be held on the 18th-19th of June 2005.

 CHANDERI
A medium grade trek along the densely
laden approach via Tansa village(Panvel). Also nick named
the Aryan route; a very interesting approach to Chanderi to be
attempted on the 3rd of July 2005 . |

Dhanushya
Teerth Trek
to the Waterfall along the route to Kulang in the Igatpuri
region. To be conducted on the 16th & 17th of July 2005. |

Tandulwadi
An easy trek located along the Mumbai- Gujarat route at Safala.

Dhak
PLateau
A medium grade trek to the imposing &
prominent plateau of Dhak in the Rajmachi area of Lonavala.
To be held on the 7th of August 2005. |

Koregad-TelBaila
A medium grade 3-day
trek to the pristine hills of TelBaila-Koregad-Sudhagad in the
Lonavala region. A must do for all you hardore trekking
enthusiasts. Scheduled for the Independance Day weekend from
12th to 15th August 2005. |

Malshej, Nakhind,
Harihar, Pratapgad, Makrandgad, Bhimashankar, Gorakhgad are some
of the other attractions. |

Maharashtra Seva Sangha, Mulund, one of the leading cultural &
social organizations in Mumbai has been successfully
organizing the Girimitra Sammelan for the past three years.
Since past three years of its inception, the enthusiasm and
participation shown by all has been overwhelming. The 4th
GIRIMITRA SAMMELAN to be held on July 3rd, 2005 at Maharashtra
Seva Sangha, Mulund, Mumbai.
