"Fans of This Mortal Coil, Young Marble Giants, DO NOT miss this one! Cinematic, dramatic, spooky, lush, minimal, beautiful. Stripped down piano, synths, tasteful percussion and female vocals.  Lots of instrumental tracks.  Moments, shades of Cat Power, Faun Fables, Current 93, Danielle Dax here and there...Fantastic."

"Moving with the faint syncopation of ghost soldiers in midnight dress parade, floating atop the music box chimes of long-dead children, itinerant amongst the urban rubble of post-industrialism - these powerful set-pieces by SF's DELETIST (formerly BITTER PIE) accredit the recuperation of a valetudinarian and humanistic polar opposition to a putative and inescapable technological extinction undersigned by a politics of negation and moral ruin.  Dissonance, hovering smoke-like over strategy and maps, is counterpoint to the DELETIST cultivation that beauty (here, battre de l'aile or palpably exhausted) and symmetry constitute that most subversive of artistic responses to an anti-human age; preventive grace, mollo affirmation and melodious agitation - more finely delineated than the crude weaponry and gas masks of symbolic rage - posit here a more artful treatise of heterodoxy in the face of institutionalized terror, trade-agreement imperialism and sanctified slaughter...
...this is art as much concerned with social change as transition, informed by compassion rather than catharsis.  It is a refusal to capitulate, but to create (with vision) an astounding counter-array of merciful eventualities imbued by spiritual redress."
- Mitch LeMay - KFJC

NEW LIMITED EDITION CD
available [ in experimental ] @ amoeba sf
a three year span of living, working and touring with artists and engineers throughout the uk and the u.s.
culminates in the 18 tracks captured on this new limited edition cd from the autonymous imprint,
BitterPieRecords/BeatsPerRevolution [formerly of entartete kunst recordings].

opting for simplicity and subversiveness over the superfluous and commercially crafted,
RELIVE combines bittersweet analogue melodies with lush electronic dissonance.
best described as "
dark, cinematic lullabies" [mission creek music festival]

this release compiles recording sessions from
an old farm house on the outskirts of riot-torn bradford, england
to an intense collaboration with london-based sound artist

to new york's east harlem with
alex young [grand royal],
then on to chicago's
