Dear friends in God, A couple of weeks ago, Sai Baba took a letter from me in darshan, thereby instructing me to open a website, using some material I've been writing which directly addresses the allegations of Baba's sexual contact with devotees. He confirmed the final version this morning with a padnamaskar. Jai Sai Ram! The piece presents the best evidence I've found that Baba is a Poornavatar, a full incarnation of God - yet I've also taken the point of view that some of the allegations of sexual contact may indeed be true. The purpose of the site is to help people understand the various reasons why an Avatar might work in a sexual way with a devotee. Because it directly addresses this volatile issue in an open way, and provides some strong counter-arguments against the narrow-minded poison currently being spread about Baba on other internet sites, I think it has the potential to help many people regain their faith.Since this email was circulated in 1991, and in 1992, when the domain name came up for renewal, Ram Das Awle was unable to renew the domain registration, for a hustler purchased the domain name when there was no thirty day expiry-renewal grace period. The domain registrar acted in a reprehensible manner and sold the domain to a hustler. The domain name in question was: www.saibaba-and-sex-aclearview.com
Ram Das Awle was forced to purchase a new domain name in 1992 and rehost his site entirely again. The new domain name is
www.saibaba-aclearview.com.
The Sai Critic regrets the link-rot and any confusion caused by this, including frippery and stupidity by Robert Priddy of Norway. We resume Ram Das' email of 1991.It's now up and running. I hope you'll check it out, and if you find it helpful, forward this letter on to others, so the information can reach as many people as possible. I'd also be happy to hear any comments or suggestions you'd like to give. Peace and best wishes, JAI SAI RAM! In His Love, Ram Das
[This Site review has been edited with permission, by the Sai Critic] Ram Das has put together an excellent web site, and he has some spiritual insights that are not present on Bon Giovanni's carpers page, Krishnan's web page or The Sai Critic, three web pages that explicitly attend to this matter online. These sites do not address with a personal narrative the processing of experience. However, they lay out what may be considered as reference points in evaluating and processing of those experiences and material presented in a salacious manner. That is their task. Well done, one may say to those sites. Returning to Ram Das and http://www.saibaba-and-sex-aclearview.com, Ram Das' site has the following excellent points: -A presentation of his spiritual journeyy -A personal crisis narrative -A narrative of his inner guidance from his guru -A re-evaluation of the material he is cconsidering in the light of his inner guidance. -Presentation of most commonly asked queestions -Analysis of the leela vinodi, the play of the Lord. Ram Das then goes on to consider tantric traditions vis-a-vis Sai Baba's activities: [[As an omniscient Avatar, Sai Baba is a Master of all spiritual paths and practices, and knows exactly how to awaken each one of us from our age-old slumber into awareness of the all-pervading Self. His use of tantric techniques with certain individuals is therefore wholly legitimate, supported by the Eastern wisdom teachings, and undoubtedly an extraordinary blessing for the individuals concerned.]] Naming Sai Baba as a master of all paths and practices including the tantric is appropriate and a fresh perspective. The comments on "oint" of gentialia and perineum with materialized oil is enhanced with addition of testimony of "awakened consciousness". The use of the analogy of the surgeon and the scalpel is appropriate. In other hands, the scalpel has been the source of most gross and salacious distortions with review of this action and karmic consequence. The reference to Padmasambhava and his four wives is appropriate. The comments on the seven types give opportunity for appropriate personal reflection. The site then goes on to consider the mayashakti of an avatar, testing of faith and presents answers to questions. It certainly makes it clear that the whole drama is play of the atma. X-rated movie, it probably is. Although the web site provides his own point of view, Ram Das is clear that one must dive inwards for the true answers. There are some areas of improvement, but in the main, Ram Das has presented his views clearly. With some refletion and assessment, it would most probably throw light on some aspects of this matter for most readers. A powerful page, and a page that requires some responding to.The Sai Critic appreciates the persmissions given to list this site and the evaluation message.
