It is important for all new applicants to know that as Aboriginal:
I. Individual Aboriginal are not exempt from sales or income tax.
2. We have no recognized Aboriginal Fishing Rights as of yet,
3. We are currently working on a plan to gain access, as Aboriginals, to hunting and fishing Rights with the Provrncial Government of Nova Scotia.
4. And that, most importantly, we must first crawl before we can run. Mission
Working together, Community, volunteers, staff and like - minded friends deliver a very large and visible effort of the Forgotten People Aboriginal Society 2005 to work and help members in need go forward to a better future. This section Serving and Helping, will soon provide both a summary overview, as well as a link to (Soon To Come) PDF fact sheets about T.F.P.A.S. 2005 current programs, services, initiatives, and projects managed and administered by the Forgotten People Aboriginal Society 2005. You can also link directly from this Intro Menu to the main Serving and Helping Section on the website which will soon contain all the programs, services, initiatives and projects available. The T.F.P.A.S.2005 Communities of Aboriginal Peoples Is a continuum as one of the Aboriginal Commodity Of Kanada. The Continuum section includes brief information about: our ancestral homelands, Our many contacts within the past thousand years, The plight which European wars of supremacy in North America have inflicted, The Colonial and continuing Indian Policy violating our birth right identity As Aboriginal Peoples of Aboriginal Nations of Our Peoples. And our continued perseverance and presence as direct descendent Aboriginal Peoples Continuing on our traditional ancestral homelands of Mi'kma'ki. This is a very complex subject because the Forgotten People Nation,Once encompassed parts of eastern Kanada And Then Spread in the four space on the compass, and thought out the world.
The issue is further complicated by the infamous removal of the Natives to other country during the great 1755 deportation of Nova Scotia.
During the 1800s and 1900s, settlers which make the genealogy research process even more difficult. Some Natives desired to retain their Native American lineage and others did not.
The Kanada Government conducted several censuses of the Natives (Indians) both on a pre and post-removal basis. These genealogies are printed in two publications called Census of Canada. And The Web Site automatedgenealogy.com (Both can be found on the internet.)
The company also has a research service available on a cost basis. Today, the Band of The Forgotten People Indians has Many Different Family, Enrolled members around Different Family names And Linkages.
While some genealogy records exist for the tribal members, it is nearly impossible to trace Ever genealogy based on a single name, which may not appear as part of tribal records.
*** We Are Currently Trying To Talk To Rep Of The Provincials And Federal Government And The United Nation Aboriginal Div, And I.N.A.C. " Minister Of Indian Affairs " On All Issue's Currently At Hand. Such As Our Reinstallment Of Native Indian's Of Canada And Parts Of The US Of A ... For Our Rights as ABORIGINAL PEOPLE OF OUR GREAT LAND'S.
