Effective Nov. 2003, Bob Howlett is the new Commander of the 10th Missouri Cavalry.

The 10th Missouri Cavalry is comprised of men and women dedicated to accurately portraying the history of the U.S. Cavalry during the civil war and Indian war periods.
In December of 1862 the 10th was formed under the command of Colonel Florence Cornyn, "a redheaded Irishman, absolutely fearless" as stated by his counterparts. The 10th was formed at Jefferson Barracks near St. Louis Mo. In January 1863 the 10th moved South and arrived at General Grant's forward post at Corinth, Mississippi on 7 February 1863. On 22 February the 10th raided Tuscumbia, Alabama thus beginning the push towards Vicksburg.

The 10th Mo. Cavalry is a member of First Western Cavalry Inc.
