Tej Kohli- A man of distinction
We all have dreams of ruling the world but most of us spend our lives cocooned in societal regulations. Tej Kohli is different. He dared to dream big and labored to achieve them all. The dream was Grafix Softech. Tej Kohli is the founder, CEO of Grafix Softech, an interactive software firm in Costa Rica.
Born and brought up in New Delhi (India), Tej Kohli graduated in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of technology. His early childhood was not so lavish, but he didn’t let that stop him from achieving his goals. His interest areas are mathematics and computer science and he later developed a great affinity to computer programming. Luckily, his parents encouraged those interests, who were both computer science graduates. That encouragement drove him to excel in that field. Soon after, he earned his degree in electrical engineering from IIT, no obstacle was too big for Tej to overcome.
Tej Kohli migrated from New Delhi to Costa Rica to shape his entrepreneurial dreams.
He was imbued with strong convictions and a firm belief in hard-work.
He has built many successful ventures right from the scratch. His assorted portfolio includes IT and Software development, Interactive Marketing, E-commerce, E-Solutions, E-Payments, Entertainment, and a host of new ventures.
However, Kohli’s accomplishments did not end here. In 2003, he initiated a crusade for providing aid to the impoverished children of Costa Rica. It was then Tej Kohli Foundation came into being. His passion for charity motivated him to do something constructive for community development and education. Though, it was only after achieving success in his various entrepreneurial accomplishments, he decided to help those less fortunate than himself.
Today, he is living amid the lush surroundings of Costa Rica with his small family of four. Tej might have broken out of the poverty of his past, but he’s never forgotten his humble beginnings and always looks to extend a hand to those who are willing to improve themselves as well.
He is an encouragement for the young people, especially poor, to study IT. His life is an example that teaches us to follow our dreams, no matter how big they are.
