| Now, i'm not going to drone on for ages about how you should do this part, as its really simple. Grab some prints from any good site, like Onnovanbraam or suurland, and cut em up in Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. Once you're done with that, open up MAX and go to make a box primative. Under 'Keyboard entry' you should manually input the size (in pixels) of your blueprints. This will make a flat plane for you, with exactly the same dimentions as the print (so it wont be distorted). Position the planes like you see in the diagram., and be sure they only have 1 side, that means converting them to an editable mesh and deleting the reversed polys. You need to do this so that when you look from the back, you dont see the front blueprint staring at you, and vice-versa. www.suurland.com has a dedicated tutorial on this subject if you need more assistance, so i suggest you go and check it out if you need more help. Done with this step? Ok, onwards to stage 2! |
