| HEISEI SEIDOH KAN A Traditional Japanese Discipline |
| Welcome to the home page of the Heisei Seidoh Kan. We are a school of Traditional Japanese Budo. Our school was first established in 1975. Located in Visalia, CA, we are the oldest Karate-Do School in the City. Our discipline is Goju-Ryu Karate-Do. Our physical practice lies in the understanding of Kata (forms), Bunkai (applications), and Kumite (sparring). However, our emphasis is equally centered on building character through the proper understanding of Budo Virtues. Therefore, students of the Heisei Seidoh Kan must be willing to commit themselves to strict training and adherence to proper Budo Protocols. We are certified in Japan by the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK). The DNBK was established in 1895, and is the official martial arts organization of Japan. Our school was given the name Heisei Seidoh Kan, by the DNBK. In 1933, Chojun Miyagi, the founder of Goju-Ryu Karate-Do, demonstrated his style to the DNBK where it was subsequently accepted as a Japanese Budo. |
