DESCRIPTION:

It is a green capsule containing a brown-yellow to yellow- brown powder which tastes slightly bitter.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:

Research on pharmacodynamics shows that:
1. This product has an antipruritus effect against mice pruritus induced by dextran£»
2. can obviously increase the threshold causing prutitus of prutitus reaction in guinea pig induced by histamine£»
3. has an opposing reaction against nonimmunologic contacted urticaria induced by dimethyl sulphoxide£»
4. has an obviously inhibitory action against passive cutaneous anaphy laxis in rats£»
5. can inhibit the increasing of capillary permeability induced by histamine£»
6. can obviously inhibit mice ear swelling induced by croton oil.

Research on toxicology shows that:

1. Acute toxicity: LD50 was not detected in SHIDUQING; the maximum tolerance goes beyond 56.4g/kg, which is equivalent to 627 times the daily adult clinical dosage 0.09g/kg.
2. Long-term toxicity: This medicine was orally administered to rats, for 90 consecutive days, by 10 times the daily adult clinical dosage. No abnormality was observed in the examination of general condition, blood picture, biochemical index and histology-scopy.
It is safe to take this medicine according to the clinical dosage.

ACTION & COMPLAINTS:

Action: nourishing blood and moistening dryness, removing dampness and expelling toxic substances, expelling pathogenic wind and relieving itching. Complaints: cutaneous pruritus due to wind-heat pathogen, wind-dampness pathogen, blood-deficiency and dryness.
