Well, life continues to pass at warp speed for us. Since coming to Keesler AFB for training in September, I've been able to go back to Wisconsin for a few visits to include Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's amazing how much Hailey and Hunter grow between my visits. I only have 2 more weeks until I return to WI to p/u the family for our return to Oklahoma. It will be nice to have a sense of normalcy in our lives. We've pretty much lived the nomad lifestyle for the past year so we need to settle down sometime. However, we will only be in Oklahoma for 8 months or so. Then it will be on to our next base...have no idea where that will be but we're hoping for Minot or Grand Forks, ND.
Steph is doing an outstanding job with the kids while I'm away. I also have to say thanks to all the family and friends that continue to help her out as well. There is no way we could do this w/out you! I miss Harley and Maggie too. Maggie is still with a friend in ND. It sounds like he's going to have a difficult time giving her back. I don't blame him...she's an awesome hunter and great companion. He's asked me to train a lab for him. That means we may have another pup around for the spring and summer. I'm anxious to continue training dogs. I've spent quite a bit of time with a very famous trainer down here. I've learned a lot from him. He's taught me training techniques that I hadn't seen before.
