During September 2001 I built a small loft on the deck over my garage. I then bought a pair of beautiful racing pigeons. "Mom and Dad" in the photos. Both of them had raced and finished in 500 mile races so I expect great things from the new little guys that you see in the photographs below!

The enclosed removable annex that you see at the left hand end of the loft is the area where the young ones learn how to enter the loft when returning from excerise or a race. They are put out there for a few weeks with "Mom and Dad" to learn how to pass thru the gates and drop into the loft. Also the annex is where the birds can enjoy the rain. Once inside the loft they can't get out.
