Although divine love is one of the goals of the Sufi path, human love can be a very significant bridge to this.  Sufis are fond of quoting the statement "al-Majaz qantarat al-haqiqa" (which means "Human love is the bridge to the Truth").  Consequently, we have established this website in the hopes of increasing love between Sufis and thus facilitating their approach to the love of God and divine love.

This is a free no-frills service for Sufis (or those who are interested in Sufism) who would like to correspond with other Sufis (or those who are interested in Sufism) for the ultimate purpose of contacting a potential Sufi husband or Sufi wife and then getting married.  To place your ad, just send an email to sufipersonals786 [the "at" sign] yahoo [dot] com

  • a) describing significant qualities of yourself (don't forget to include your gender!);
  • b) describing significant qualities of the kind of person you are looking for (and their gender);
  • c) note whether your Sufi orientation is "Islamic Sufi, quasi-Islamic Sufi (see Sufism, Sufis, and Sufi Orders for more information about this designation), a non-Islamic Sufi, or someone who is interested in Sufism; and note also the Sufi orientation of the person you are looking for;
  • d) include your email address.  If you do not wish to use your normal email address (for the sake of privacy), we suggest getting a FREE email address using a pseudonym at Yahoo Mail  . Feel perfectly comfortable using a pseudonym until you get to know your correspondents well. It is important to protect your privacy. 
  • e) you may want to include your location especially if you cannot relocate.
  • f) We are now accepting one picture per ad. So feel free to email a picture of yourself along with your ad. If the size of pic file is too high, we may have to reduce the physical size of the pic or the resolution.
  • g) also put in the subject box of your email either "man seeking woman" or "woman seeking man."
There is no charge for the service.  But since the site is maintained by volunteers, it may take a few days for your notice to get posted. (To get rid of the sometimes annoying popup ad, click on the arrowhead on the far right of the ad.)
