Sue Whimster

Sue Whimster makes. Cats that slink cockerels that strut , dogs that are mad, bad and dangerous to know.

These unique hand sculpted characters, are just right for a special gift. Some animals birds and humans, are simply themselves, Some parade as egg cups, candle-holders or soap dishes.

Inspiration comes from street life in the east end, and from contemporary and traditional ceramic forms.

Sue trained as a sculptor in Exeter. Sue is a full time artist. She makes ceramics and runs workshops in 3D sculpture and hand built ceramics from her studio. Sue Iives and works in Hackney. She is married with three children.
