MARCH 5, 2009 •MLS Permit #2324 – Type IV Landfill Permit is now technically complete! •The permit is NOT a “Done Deal” – the battle has just begun!!! •The next step is to request a Contested Case Hearing (CCH) with TCEQ. •The site is located 1.4 miles north of Midway/Security west of N. Walker Road. •The permit allows 600 waste trucks per day to the site – about one truck per minute. •MLS can open for business if we don’t request this Contested Case Hearing! •Winning the Contested Case Hearing can finally stop the landfill for good! •It’s important that each person write a personal letter to TCEQ to request the CCH. •Come to the Zipps at Security, Zipps at 1484 or to the Security feedstore to sign or write your letter. •CAML volunteers will be available Saturday March 14 & 21 to help you!
