About, Stiles Graphic DesignStiles' Graphic Design began out of a desire to work with people to meet their goals and the desire to be actively involved in the process from start to finish. I enjoy working with people and for fifteen plus years I did so as someone else's employee. The frustrating part of that is all too often, I would be left out of the loop on projects relegated to a need to know basis only. Now, communication is an interesting and sometimes frustrating thing. The more people that get involved in the chain of communication the more it becomes like the children's party game "Telephone". The client says one thing to the account executive, he tries to repeat it to the department head, who then tries to tell me. Stiles' Graphic Design allows me to put my client first without me being left out of the loop, and that is how I prefer it.
Why this web site?I should first confess to you right here, I have been to more than a few interviews in my time. On more than one occasion I have realized, after a brief exchange with my interviewer, that I had packed the wrong type of artwork which would most directly address the clients needs. A bit like showing up at some soiree in a rented gladiator costume only to see the rest of the crowd in black tie. This site is me, showing up with my whole wardrobe in tow -- "Don't like what you see? Just a moment, I'll change."
