Fully Assembled

This cable comes fully assembled, but you must connect two wires from a provided connector to the ALDL port under the Dash. This way, the cable has its own connector, allowing you to remove it from the car. This eliminates the need for the costly molded ALDL connector. All the needed hardware is included, and it usually takes less than 15 minutes for almost anyone to install, using pliers, wirecutters, and a philips screwdriver. It will work with either the OBDI or OBDII style diagnostic ports, but ONLY if your car is actually OBDI. Most '95 OBDI cars had the OBDII connector. $65 Shipped to your door |
Cable Parts Kits These parts kits come with everything you need to build your own cable, including a printed circuit board. For OBDII port cars ('95s), add $5 for the OBDII style ALDL connector. You should have at least some soldering & electronics experience to assemble these kits. If you have some experience, it shouldn't be a problem. Of course I provide e-mail support when you are assembling the kit. E-mail Steve if you have questions about the kits or assembly. Same as the "Converter Only" cable, but unassembled
