| Before leaving, Michael hugs Janet one more time... and he lays his head on her shoulder and closes his eyes... I have no words to really describe this. (Pic taken by Elizabeth McAllister) Michael had started to leave the meet and greet when Janet (fifteen years old) and Michael had their moment. Here it is in Janet’s own words: “I looked at him as he started to leave. The people in suits were all rushing him and he hesitantly made his way to the car. He looked at me as I stood there with tears in my eyes. His eyes were sad and he blew a kiss and waved goodbye. I started to cry (a bit, not hard) and he stopped. He kind of stared at me for a minute and read my shirt (it had “Angels Exist” on it). He read it out loud “Angels Exist.” “They really do exist.” He continued. I nodded, still crying some. “Come here.” He said and extended his hand and took my left hand. He gave me a hug and started to talk about angels. Like … “Angels exist. Even though you can’t see them, they are all around you, right now.” Then he looked in my eyes (he had tears in his eyes) and said something like …“Angels exist. Don’t forget that.” After every time he gave me a hug, he would look at me with sad teary eyes. Then he gave me a hug and put his head on my shoulder. I told him something and he hugged me again. Then the people in suits started to say… “ we need to go … blah … blah … blah … He then kissed my cheek and that’s it." ....... Janet |
