Small quilt groups forming....
There's not much that beats meeting with some fellow quilters for a few hours of quilting (piecing, appliqué, etc.) and talking.  If this sounds like something you would be interested in, send me an e-mail:  bernief@kc.rr.com.  Groups may meet in the afternoon, evenings, or weekends.  They might just do hand sewing or bring their machines.  It's a great opportunity to get help on projects, be inspired, show off your work, and just have fun.
Click here to see some pictures of the fun that one small quilt group has.

Project Linus
Don't forget to make a quilt for Project Linus.  Our goal is 300 for the year from Guild members.
This wonderful group provides security blankets (quilts) to traumatized and /or critically ill children.
If you would like to join others in working on these, Harper's Fabric has free workshop evenings.  You can bring your own fabric or there will be previously donated fabric you can use.
There will be a Project Linus sewing evening at Harpers, Tuesday, October 7, 2008, 6:30-8:30 pm.  Call Harper's for more information.
