CURRENT CLUB NEWS...
The Committee Heads of the Social/PR, Academic, and Service committees will be meeting on Thursday, October 11 during common hour in McKay 213. This is to get us all on the same page with Dr. Hicks and gain focus for the remainder of the semester.
We will be holding our first portfolio organization workshop at the next meeting on Tuesday, October 16th. Freshmen who have no idea what a portfolio is, need not bring anything to the meeting. Upperclassmen who have a working portfolio should bring it to the meeting. We will be using them as examples to start our Workshop and develop some sort of manual for future SRU Secondary Ed. majors regarding what to put into a portfolio.
We will be meeting for the remainder of this year in McKay, 213 during common hour. Please note this change effective October 2nd.
Welcome to the SEC's new homepage for 2007-2008... A lot of modifications are still being made to make our site even more user-friendly and informative (including a shift from a brown background to green). This web site is still a "work-in-progress" and I thank you for your patience!
We will be electing new officers for the 2007-2008 school year at our first meeting so please check your RockMail and stay tuned to this web site for an announcement regarding our first meeting. Dr. Hicks is also taking over for Dr. Mraz as our advisor.
In addition to electing new officers, ALL club members must sign off on the university's annual "anti-hazing" form, which will be explained at our first meeting. All club members must also sign a form with their name, address, and phone number so that the Office for Student Involvement has a record of our members, which will also be discussed and made available at our first meeting.
