Music has been one of my greatest attractions.
Listening to Music and Bathroom singing (Imagine the after-effects if my voice is not washed away by the sound of water!) are my favourite hobbies. I like to hear both Carnatic music and Film Music. I have also learnt to play a bit of Keyboard, but the fact still remains that others have not learnt to bear it.
One more ability of mine is of picking up others voice easily. The victims have mostly been my
Lecturers and friends. It has certainly helped a few people to laugh (and few others to laugh at us),
when I did a few entertainment programs with friends in college.
Despite the fact that most of the guys are interested only in "Bird watching" , I like animal watching
as well. During my college days, it was really a good timepass to see all those deer having a look at the
poor hostel guys eating the tasteless food in the mess, when they were happily munching fresh leaves
Quite disappointing to see temples becoming entertainment parks and Fast food stalls (especially in
Bangalore) and I like to keep away from these and visit some old, calm and big temples like Mayuranatha
swamy temple, Mayuram, which have some history and sanctity behind them
And about my extra-curriculars, I wanted to involve myself in atleast one extra-curricular activity
in my school and college days, mainly because of the reason that I could use that as a good alibi if
I performed miserably in studies.
When I was in School, Scouting was my favourite pastime (How about Guiding??). After much
introspecton, if at all anyone accidentally comes across some trace of good qualities in me like
Punctuality and Dedication, people attribute that it is not my natural behaviour but acquired from my
involvement with Scout Movement. I have attended a lot of camps and have won a few awards too,
during my 6 years of service as Scout.

In my College, I had served for N.S.S Unit V for 3 years. The highligh being 3 10-day camps and
those 30 days are immemorable days in my life. I have served as General Secretary ( as no one else was
left out! ) in my Third year and Regular Activities Secretary in my Second year without doing
considerable damage to my GPA.

Competitions like Quiz,Drama,Speech,Science
Exhibitions,Music etc. very much attracted me, for showing the variety of 'talent' which I believed I had.
Eventhough the judges thought the other way round, somehow got loads of those typical items, branded for
giving as prizes - books like "How to write English letters" , wall-hangings, Water Jugs, Citrus juice
makers and what not?. However, the most memorable one and the last one being the
Impromptu Software Contest'97
