Pneumatic Guns
Pneumatic guns fire a projectile using compressed air, typically you fill up a reservoir mounted on the gun with a pump or compressor, then to fire you open a valve allowing the stored air to rush down the barrel and fire the projectile. A typical "over and under" pneumatic gun looks like this:

Pneumatic guns are many times more powerful than a combustion gun of the same size and almost silent in operation by comparison. Also if you have ready source of compressed air such as a compressor, they are faster to reload, They are also easier to reload as you don't have to mess about getting the fuel/air ratio right. These reasons mean that pneumatic guns are my personal favourites.
When making pneumatic guns it is very important to ensure that the materials you use to build it bare adequately strong. Combustion guns apparently can only develop 20 to 30psi of pressure, pneumatic guns use in excess of 100psi and must be able to hold this pressure for long periods of time.
I have now split this page into seperate sections as it was taking far too long to load.
