Spiritof12. The photo above is one taken of me in the summer of 2006 at a concert on the Riverfront here in Wilmington. I spend a lot of my time traveling the
cyber and real world.
I live in Wilmington, Delaware a
short 35-mile
trip south of Philadelphia, Pa.,
the
birthplace of our nation.
I entered into a
journey of
recovery and spiritual growth on March 17, 1995, and through this
journey I
have been changed in many ways and the life I now enjoy is so much
better and
more fulfilling.
I am a single man that wants to enjoy everything life has to offer. My hobbies and
interests are
wide and varied. The enjoyment of hiking, camping, and whitewater
rafting are
just a few of the activities that have taken on a new meaning for me
since I
entered this journey. Before this journey I had never rafted and now
can say I
have been on every type of river from class I to class V+. I had a heart attack and open heart surgery in 1995 and since then I have accepted how fragile life is and have decided that I want to live my life today and not just survive it. This also has brought me so much
closer to
my Higher Power by traveling and enjoying the wonder filled world of
God's
work. In the last few years I have traveled from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia
to one
of God's amazing wonders in Niagara
Falls, New York. These were all gifts from my Higher Power and as a
direct
result of my accepting His will to enter this journey of recovery.
It has been an eye opener that after years before I entered
recovery I always had that feeling of not belonging and now on a
journey of
3,700 miles to another continent, I went to meetings of the fellowship
and I
was again home, I belonged. Today I have so many friends both here in the United States and also now in England

amazing
the many places that I visit again today that before this journey, were
just OK
places, and now that I am in recovery these same places are nothing
short of
amazing! While I was in England I was able to wander and see so many wonderfull places. Many I found to be true spiritual experiences.
