and its tears will end.

The Rose represents every WOMAN and CHILD.
This Page is here to honor her and offer her a place to rest
a weary heart..find friendship and protection and is dedicated
to giving her the knowledge needed
to survive here not only in the virtual world but in real life also.

The ROSE is a thing of beauty,grace,strength,
and for ages a symbol of love.
And as the spirit of the rose lives on for ever
so shall the spirit of each ROSE that passes here.

And where would any Rose be without
the thorns that stand ever next to her,
protecting her honor and beauty.
The THORNS stand guard over her,
keeping away those who would come to destroy her.
To that end ,
each man is seen as a Thorn put here to protect the Rose.
This Page honors each Thorn
who comes in peace,comes not to destroy
but to protect and cherish the Rose.
But unfortunatly there are those who try to destroy her.
Breaking her down in many ways.
And not only women and children,
but many men and many of our elderly are also victims of abuse.
The most common is through domestic violence.
To most of us when we hear this term we think
of the phycical beating that so many endure these days.
But there is more.The mental and emotional beatings, sometimes,
with the physical, sometimes alone, need to be thought of also.
Every minute somewhere in this world someone,
be it a woman,child or grandparent,
is the victim of some form of abuse.
They need our help.
And no help offered is too small or not enough.
Only closed hearts,eyes,minds and helping hands that let it continue.
Even if you just offer a caring ear and shoulder,
so they know they are not alone. That someone does
care and there is another side to life. Thank You for caring enough to visit.

I Got Flowers Today....

I got flowers today....
i got flowers today
It wasn't my birthday or any other special day.

We had our first argument last night,
and he said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me.
I know he is sorry and didn't mean the things he said
because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today.
It wasn't our aniversary or any other special day.

Last night he threw me into a wall and started to choke me.
It seemed like a nightmare,
I couldn't beleive it was real.
I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over.
I know he must be sorry,

Because he sent me....flowers today.

Last night he beat me up again.
And it was much worse then all the other times.
If I leave him what will I do?
How will I take care of my kids? What about money?
I'm afraid of him and scared to leave.
But I know he must be sorry,

because he sent me flowers today.

I got flowers today.
Today was a very special day.

It was the day of my funeral.
Last night he finally killed me.
He beat me to death.
If only I had gathered enough courage and strength to leave him.
I would not have gotten flowers today.
