Pepe's Pals was started in 1999 in response to the need for an older dog rescue and one that could help those dogs with special needs that might make them have a harder time finding a loving home.

Many of our dogs are rescued from animal control on their last day of life. Others were found wandering lost. Some were given up as they no longer fit into their owners busy lives. It's so sad when a family member is no longer wanted...

We are a non-profit organization funded entirely by donations and we are a spay/neuter rescue.

Applicants are required to fill out an application, and pass an interview and reference check. A fee to cover shelter costs is charged.

We adopt to Michigan homes only. Sorry, we do not ship pets.

We older dogs make wonderful pets.

Lots of times, we already know tricks.

And we love to take those Sunday afternoon naps on the couch with you.

And older dogs are forever grateful to the person who rescues them and will give you many years of love.
