The Southern Tasmanian Association of Nudists (STAN) is a group of people based in Hobart Tasmania Australia. We currently have around 20 members, ranging in age from mid-twenties to seventies, but averaging around 45. Some of our members also have children who are always welcome at our functions. We usually hold two functions each month; usually one of these is at a member’s home where we enjoy a spa, good food and each other’s company, and the other may range from going out to dinner, to holding picnics on remote beaches, to ferry cruises, 10 pin bowling, you name it we'll try it. Of course, depending on weather and location these activities are not always nude. We formed as a group out of the ashes of the Hobart Nudist Club, which unfortunately folded in mid 2004. We do not have club grounds, but as mentioned above we rely on the generosity of members who are willing to open up their homes, farm properties etc for the rest of us to be able to enjoy nude recreation. Our membership covers the entire spectrum of ages and occupations; we have had young babies brought along by their parents, we have a member in his nineties, but unfortunately no longer attending functions due to ill health, and our occupations have included public servants, housewives, doctors, bus drivers ... you name it, we've probably got one in our group. We have set up quite a few pages here to tell you about ourselves in some detail.
