Moral Court, hosted by Los Angeles libertarian radio talk show host Larry Elder, is the newest show in the TV court genre. It differs from the other court shows, because it judges litigants on the morality of their actions rather than the legality of their actions. The cases on the show would generally not even be taken in a legal court. The judge decides after hearing a case who is morally right and how much to award. If he finds one party to be merely wrong, he'll award $500. If he finds it to be a more serious moral problem, he terms it offensive, and awards $1,000. If he finds it to be extremely terrible, he terms it outrageous, and awards the shows' maximum judgment, $2,000. All judgments are paid by the shows' producer, Ralph Edwards-Stu Billett Productions.

The show, which is one hour long, has between two and four cases an episode. During Judge Elder's deliberation, the audience gets to comment on the cases, and then the litigants respond. This is one of the more interesting parts of the show. All and all, the show brings up many societal issues that other TV shows do not, and it is a welcome addition to the TV lineup.
