This tool is used for converting files of the type: .rcd or .rec or .act, which were recorded using a MP3 player / voice recorder / USB Flash Device. It will convert the file to a .wav or .mp3 file. These files can then be played back on your computer as a .wav file or .mp3 file. Works on M.S. Windows only.
Download the zip file (see below).
Unzip it to a directory where you wish to keep the program.
Open the file 'playSnd.exe'
begin using it!
1. click [Open]. This will allow you to locate and open the source file such as a rcd/rec/act file (it can also open wav and mp3 files directly). Note: wav or mp3 files can be played back directly. However, rcd/rec/act files must be converted before playback is possible.
2. click [Convert]. This begins the conversion.
Note: This button will only be enabled when the following two conditions are true:
a. At least one item is selected for the output option (wav or mp3);
b. The source file is a rcd/rec/act file.
3. Press the Play [ > ] button. You can now to listen to the converted file.
Note: a copy of the converted file as a .wav or .mp3 will be saved to the same directory as the source file.
You can also use the [Help] button to show the help.
While [Exit] will Exit the tool.
