| Last season (08) I only raced 3 weekends out of 10, but still managed 6th in points. I did alot of things to the car last summer which included a tunnel ram and two 650cfm Holley double pumpers, and LOTS of tuning. Finaly gat the car running 11.9 pretty consistantly leaving the starting line at a measely 2000rpm. Power band doesn't kick in until 4000rpm. I also dumped the stock HEI for a MSD billit distributor, and replaced my anchient MSD5600 box with the new MSD Digital-6 Plus Ignition Control. This has a rev limiter for both launch and redline. The first one I will use if I ever step up to a trans-break. High rpm limiter is great, no more floating falves not to mention if something lets go at wide open throttle, I will not blow the motor. Inner fenderwells are gone. The power stearing has been replaced with manual. heater/core have been removed. Still much more weight to come off. I would eventualy like to have fiberglass doors and front clip. |
