 Welcome to the South Louisiana Windsurfing Club. This club is forming to bring together windsurfing enthusiasts around La. I was searching on the internet for windsurfing clubs around the La. area and realized we're not even mentioned on the net. The sport needs publicity and newcomers need resources to help them get started. I have in mind, a place where people can come and talk about the sport; sharing tips, planning group events and swapmeets, and maybe finding a new place to launch. If we want the club to grow, we've got to all participate, so let your friends know about the site and soon we'll be able to give louisiana a spot on the map!

Events are being planned as we speak. A date is being decided for our first meeting. Here we can plan out some of our goals and tasks, and pick some officers. If you've got an idea as to where to hold the meeting, please contact me. I am trying to decide on a date that most people will be available for. S W A P M E E T !                                                                                                  Saturday, April 14th, 2001

The Mobile Bay Windsurfing Association is hosting a swapmeet in Fairhope, Alabama. It's not that far of a ride. I'm heading out there. It's located at the duckpond. And starts at 10:00 am. Bring your gear for some afternoon sailing afterwards. If anyone is interested in following each other up there, let me know. Heres a link for directions to the Duckpond! Click Here for DIRECTIONS.

I am currently busy with school and haven't had the time, or really (know-how since i'm only 17) to get meetings and everything else going. If anyone is interested in helping out as far as setting up meetings and such, it would be greatly appreciated. I can manage the site, but it's hard to do everything. I have several ideas for events such as swapmeets, some sort of (little) windfest, etc. If you're interested in helping out, please let me know. Thanks. ~Jason
