"HI EVERYONE!"
My Name is Dulcie
Welcome to my World!
I love the snow. It's so much fun to play in.
I like to put my face right down into it and pretend I'm a snow plow.
"SNOW? WHAT SNOW?"
It's not always winter though - I like the summer too
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
I turned 9 years old on June 28th, 2008
I live in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, on the shores of the beautiful Bay of Fundy. The height of the tides in the Saint John Harbour exceeds the height of the Saint John River twice daily. The result is the famed Reversing Falls - rapids that change directions as the tides of the Bay of Fundy rise and fall.
I was born on June 28th, 1999 but my new life started on June 20th, 2000 when my Mom came into my life and adopted me from the S.P.C.A. in Moncton, N.B.
"She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader. She will be yours, "faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion."
"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace." Milan Kundera
The bandstand in King's Square. There is a fountain in the lower section. The bandstand is located in the center of the square, the pathways are layed out in the same formation as the white and red stripes of the Union Jack.
Harbour Station
View of Harbour Station, former home of the Saint John Flames; AHL farm team of the Calgary Flames. The team left after the 2002/03 season, their 10th in Saint John. Harbour Station is now the home of the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL.
Harbour Passage Trail.
Phase I of the trail was officially opened on June 26, 2003. This picture was taken towards the H.M.C.S. Brunswicker end of the first phase of the Harbour Passage Trail. This section of the trail is under the east side of the Harbour Bridge, just below the Reversing Falls.
This is the Bentley Street Pavilion, part of the Phase II portion of the trail; officially opened June 24, 2004. This is just down from my apartment and where my Mom & I begin our walks along Harbour Passage.
Come take a walk with me on my MY HARBOUR PASSAGE WALK
THE REGAL PRINCESS THROUGH THE FOG
This picture was taken from my back yard - that's the kiosk that was in the above picture at the entrance to Harbour Passage from Chesley Drive.
FUN AT THE PARK
My favourite place to walk is the Irving Nature Park on the west side of the city. It's fun chasing the squirrels but they are too fast for me to catch.
I know, I know - they are cute little critters; don't they know I just want to play with them?
I'm a pretty high maintenance kind of girl but I can get kind of dirty walking at the Park. I visit with Tina, my groomer, every few weeks and she always makes me look so beautiful!
Here I'm having an afternoon rest in Truro where I like to spend my summer vacation
Meet my new Truro cousins - Lexie and Sophie. Aren't they cute? They are fun to play with but they move too fast for me to catch them.
Maybe they'd like to play hide & seek with me in the garden!
That was then - This is now - they are just about all grown up - boy, did they get big fast! They are almost as big as me!
HERE'S WILSON!!!
Wilson is my North Carolina cousin. He's a pound puppy just like me. I hope I can meet him some day. I'll bet he and Milly & I could have fun together.
WOW! ANOTHER NEW PUPPY IN THE FAMILY - MEET JAXY!!!
Yep! Another new cousin - they are just popping up all over the place. This little guys name is Jaxy and he lives in Truro too.
