    "Is anyone cheerful?"

    (James 5:13b)

    All too many times do we forget to praise God and give thanks for His blessings. It's really quite obvious, we pray for help - we get help - we forget to thank God... When our troubles fade away and life returns to normal (whatever that is) we tend to ignore God and put Him back in the medicine cabinet like some kind of aspirin bottle when the headache is gone. Honestly speaking, we have to admit we have all been guilty of this, I know I have. But wasn't it God to whom we cried out to in our time of need? Wasn't it God who heard our prayers? Certainly it was He who answered them! Then let us not forget to give Him glory for all things. It is He who gave us life, it is He who saves our souls, it is He who will deliver us from evil in that dreaded day. Praise God! Next time you receive a blessing from God, STOP, and praise Him for, once again, bringing you through hard times and hearing your prayers. And to finish the second part of James 5:13, "He (we) is to sing praises." (emphasis mine)

    John 3:19-21

  • For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. - EPHESIANS 2:8-9 We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone! GRACE ALONE! Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. -TITUS 3:5-7 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. -ROMANS 11:6 FAITH ALONE! Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. -ROMANS 3:28 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. -ROMANS 4:4-5 CHRIST ALONE! Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. -JOHN 14:6 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. -ACTS 4:12 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesus Christ did all the work to save us from our sins.

    ROMANS 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

    ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

    ROMANS 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    ROMANS 8:1a There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,

    ROMANS 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    ROMANS 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
