~Rescue Success Stories~
ADOPTED! "Hamlet" (left) and "Hemmingway " (right) are two young (under 2 year old) male budgies.  These boys are friendly and outgoing.  They love to play "drop the ball" where they drop their toy ball on the floor of their cage.  They are very close buds and will only be adopted out together.  The pictures absolutely do NOT do justice to how gorgeous these two blue boys are.  They will make someone wonderful companions.
ADOPTED!"Dominic" (left), a 9 month old male budgie and "Priscilla" (right) a 9 month old female budgie are looking for a new, forever home together.  This great little pair of birds are friendly and outgoing and enjoy being out on their playgym.  They were turned in together because their previous owners were moving.  They are going to make someone great companions.
ADOPTED!"Sherlock" and "Daphne" were both strays that were turned in from the animal shelter.  These two birds were very frightened and shy with people.  While they still need work on being handled and feeling comfortable with people, they are making progress.  They were together at the shelter and housed together here and have bonded.
ADOPTED! "Oyama" (the green boy) and "Suzette" (the blue girl) are a pair of budgies looking for a new home together.  This is Oyama's second mate and because we feel there is a bond with them, we are looking for a home for them to go together.  They are being converted from seed to pellets and enjoy fresh fruit and veggies.  We are also working on hand taming them.  Both will now sit on fingers and perch and we are confident they will improve with practice.
ADOPTED! "Phoenix" was rescued from a burning apartment and unfortunately, no one made through well enough to take care of him.  Due to the smoke inhalation and the soot that was caked in his nares, it is possible he may have respiratory problems later in life.  Despite what he has been through, Phoenix is a fabulous, male, lutino cockatiel.  He is friendly and outgoing and loves to be held.
ADOPTED! "Parfait" is the last of the "allergy family" birds.  She is a great girl.  She is doing well, and is a very sweet and sensitive bird.  She enjoys being held and has been eating some veggies.  She is also on a pelleted diet.  This little girl absolutely loves people and seems to prefer them to other birds, so most likely she will go to a home as the only bird or possibly with an elderly, laid back bird.
ADOPTED! "Molly" Another fabulous tiel from the same family with the allergy problems.  This pretty pearl girl LOVES to be held and loves neck scratches.  Would make a wonderful pet!  "Molly" eats a pelleted diet, but I am converting her to a better one.  She likes veggies and toast also!
ADOPTED! "Kiche" This adorable lutino cockatiel boy was turned in with the others.  "Kiche" loves to be held, in fact, he comes out of his cage if you even open the door to feed, and is very friendly.  He is also on a pelleted diet, but I am working on other healthy foods for him too!  He absolutely LOVES his baths.
ADOPTED! "Bravo" This great little cockatiel was turned in with 3 others due to an allergy to birds by a family member.  "Bravo" is friendly, outgoing and happy to be held.  He has a great whistle and will make a wonderful pet!  Already on a pelleted diet, I am trying to introduce him to veggies, but he isn't quite receptive yet.
