The Sky Watchers’ Association, located in the city of Kolkata
(previously Calcutta) in India, is an assemblage of persons
interested in astronomy and sky watching. This non-profit voluntary
association welcomes both the ordinary persons simply interested to
watch the splendour and beauty of the night sky and to adore its
endless variations, as well as more methodical and serious sky
watchers who want to record their observations on variable stars,
solar events, occultations, eclipses, comets, asteroids and so on.
These data are collected and analysed or forwarded to appropriate
scientific bodies for analysis. These observers thus can rightly
claim to be indispensable, though small, contributors to the
advancement of human knowledge base.
In this site we have used several pictures, we acknowledge those
persons related to the picthers.
