Slackey’s Asian Shows Trading List

I am open for distribution only since I need to get rid of most, if not all of my collection, because I need the room and money. IT IS A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS. If two people want the same thing, then I will give to the first person who requested. However, I do have a fifty pack spindle that’s just lying here so if there is an overlap in request, and I still have enough blank CDs to fill both requests, I will. Below is the number of blank CDs I have left in case two people do want the same thing. Once the number hits 0, then it truly will be a first come first serve basis.

As I mentioned, I’m only selling my collection right now. However, there are two exception. IF YOU HAVE THE TAIWANESE DRAMAS “MARS” OR “MARMALADE BOY” English subtitled, then please contact me about a trade. I really want to see these two series’!

* Please read the items below before asking to trade with me or to buy something from me. Thanks!*

1) If you ask me for a trade, and/or I have not traded with you in the past, I expect you to send first. If I have traded with you before, then we should send at the same time.

2) Please use name brand CDs. NO SILVER CDS OR GENERIC BRANDS! I use Memorex myself so use an equivalent brand like Fuji, TDK, Sony,etc.

3) If we have a trade and one side is short a couple of CDs (like 1-3 CDs), then just give me (or, if I’m short, I’ll give you) the difference in blank CDs. I believe that there is no need to give 2 blank CDs for every CD short. It’s only fair since, even though one party is short, we both get something we want, right? Why should one party benefit even more?

For example: If I trade you a series with 12 CDs and in return, you give me a series with 10 CDs, just give me 2 CDs to make up the difference instead of 4.

4) Please specify what shipping method you will use when trading with me so I can use the same method. PLEASE INCLUDE A CONFIRMATION NUMBER OR TRACKING NUMBER ON THE PACKAGE YOU SEND AND I WILL DO THE SAME. Sorry, but I have had a couple of trades where they said they sent, but didn’t use a tracking number so we were stuck in a “who ripped off who” argument which ultimately leads to nowhere and me getting burned.

5) DISTRIBUTION PRICES: I charge $.75 a CD plus $2.50 for shipping up to 15 CDs (First Class Shipping). After that, it’s $4.50 for shipping up to 45 CDs (Priority Mail Shipping). If you order less than 15 CDs, but prefer the Priority Mail shipping over First Class, then your shipping will be $4.50 as well.

For example: An order of 15 CDs will cost: ($.75 x 15) + ($2.50)= $13.75

An order of 40 CDs will cost ($.75 x 40) + ($4.50) = $34.50

Sorry about the gap in shipping prices , but there is a weight limit to First Class mail and, from my experience, 15 CDs is the limit. If I go over that weight, then it automatically gets bumped up to Priority Mail (hence the shipping price increase).

For payment I accept: Money Orders, Cashier’s Checks, , and cash (but I wouldn’t send cash since it’s very risky).

A: Top-quality copy. Within a generation or so from a fansub master made from a high quality commercial (non-broadcast) source. TV broadcasts are rarely A quality.

B: Very good copy. Either a number of generations from a master, or within a couple of generations from a clear TV broadcast.

C: OK copy. Obviously many generations from the original. Picture will be washed out a bit and a little fuzzy, but subtitles are still clear. Sound may or may not have some problems -- usual problems are a little bit of static or music may sound slightly "off" -- but will be understandable.

D: Marginal copy. Can still read subtitles, but picture will be fairly washed out, noticeable in particular with faces. Sound is more likely to have some static or music distortion, but will be understandable. Though I would still label the copy as watchable, it will be only a few generations away from no longer being such.

A: DVD Ripped fansubbed VCDs fall in this category

A-/B+ : KIKU TV capture VCDs usually fall in this range

B: Jem TV captures fall between the B+, but usually more towards, B range.

C: Captures of VHS copies usually fall in this [C/C-] range

D: Can still read subtitles, picture will be washed out, sound has static.

Descirption: Has grammatical English subtitles and is spread across eleven (11) VCDS. In the first epsiode, the sound changes from Japanese to Chinese for about 10 minutes, but the subtitles are still there so you can still understand what's happening. The quality is B.
