It can be frustrating when faced with illness, to overcome the daily obstacles of pain, fatigue, or depression. Sometimes these seem to take over and hold you hostage. These unseen forces interfere with activities you want to be a part of. Often, these obstacles are not always evident to others, and make it hard for others to understand what holds you back.
The small horizontal lines which appear to be flying towards the figure in the box represent these forces. The bright orange and yellow objects in the upper right hand corner represent the goals I want to accomplish, as well as the good things in my life that inspire me and keep me going.
This project was created using Adobe Illustrator CS. The abstract is a self portrait assignment created for my computer imaging class. This piece was awarded first place in computer imaging in the student honors exhibit 2005.
