The Sofa Kings have been playing wiffleball for 15 years. Last season Sofa king got its first chance to compete in tournament play. In the 2001 season, Sofa King went 6 and 4. Our losses were at the hands of the world champion A-Bros, the much respected Long Shots, Mr. Cy Young himself Chuck and his buddy. Our fourth loss we do not like to discuss because it was to a pitcher that tops out at 47 mph. In two tournaments Sofa King placed seventh and fourth. This showing gained enough repect to have us ranked as high as 15th on the poll, while the other was later to catch on, and had us ranked at 18th.
THE ROSTER Daniel England- team leader in HR's 6, RBI's 23, and a .404 ave. Mike Bowlin- lets just say this kid has got some nasty stuff on the hill! (Vulcan). Eric Joseph- the walk master himself 21 BB. Bryan Mahon- watch what happens when you throw a 3-0 change. (Mullets). Chris Jensen- team lead in HR's for pizzas.
THINGS TO KNOW In our first game ever, we did have the lead against the A Bros in the third inning.

BEST WIN In a game that the ever classy Mullets of Tracy open by passing gas on the field, SKC proceded to put up a 14 run offensive display clearing the field of the Mullets and the nasty stench.
2002 OUTLOOK Anything is possible, SKC has a serious off season work out. We have been working hard to improve our pitching, while fine tuning our offense.
